The overall design is angular yet complex, light yet strong. The frame is made from black walnut. The vertical load of the chair is supported by a 3 way bridal joint anchored at the base of the backrest.

The leather webbing is made from hand cut vegetable tanned bridal leather, with burnished edges and a hand-mixed oil finish. The color is a custom vegetable dye, matched to the hue of the frame.

This is an extremely comfortable armchair. It’s half way between an easy laid back chair and an ergonomic task chair. A chair designed for hours or reading by the fire, while remaining supported.
